When heartbreak left my window dim,
I wandered through the dark with him—
With sorrow sitting on my chest,
Very little strength and no rest.
The days were gray, the nights were long,
I couldn’t find my place in song;
Depression wrapped me in its blue,
And every dawn felt hard to view.
Then on one bright and unexpected night,
I met someone who felt like light.
So tall, so handsome, warm, and kind,
With charm that lifted heart and mind.
He was so positive, bright, and true,
The kind of soul that pulls you through.
His laughter made the whole world new;
His presence felt like morning dew.
And when I heard his name, I smiled—
A disciple’s name, noble and mild.
Like Saint Peter, steady and strong,
A name that felt like it belonged.
To someone gentle, brave, and rare—
A quiet blessing waiting there.
Meeting him felt fresh, like rain,
Washing away the old remains.
That very first night, I understood
That life could still be tender and good.
After the heartbreak, after the pain,
Hope had found my heart again.
He didn’t erase the tears I’d cried,
But brought new sunrise to their side.
And where I once felt all alone,
He came and brought me back home.
