Two Moons, One Love

Beneath the first full moon, I looked up through the night,
And wished that you were here to share its silver light.
Though we may be apart, and distance bends the tune,
My heart still found your heartbeat underneath that moon.

The second night rose softly, with stars in quiet flight,
Its glow became a promise that love could cross the night.
For every shining shadow that stretched across the sea,
Was just the moonlight’s pathway leading you to me.

So when the full moon finds us on two far distant shores,
Remember that its radiance touches both our doors.
And though we sleep apart beneath its tender flame,
Two hearts can share one longing, one dream, one whispered name.
